Don’t Get Lost: Navigating the Road to DEI Through Journey Mapping

According to Nerd Wallet’s Fundera, 85 percent of CEOs with diverse and inclusive cultures notice increased profits; companies with equal men and women earn 41 percent more; and diverse companies are 35 percent more likely to perform better.

Association executives are well-aware of the benefits of implementing a DEI program, but may be struggling with how to integrate DEI culture. Join AXC’s February program, where @Robin Rone, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, SmithBucklin, will help association executives learn how to achieve their DEI goals through journey mapping. This mapping process helps define where association executives are in their journey compared to where they want to go. In this session, Robin will share some examples of challenges and successes, as well as how to foster a welcoming environment, build inclusive teams, recognize unconscious bias and develop a diverse workforce at all levels.
